Set of Three Antique Georgian Cut Steel Stickpins, Cased

£39.00

This hard to come by set of three antique cut steel stickpins dates from around 1800 - 1820. Each pin comprises a cut steel terminal, set on a steel pin. Each of the stickpins has a different terminal: a crescent moon, a fleur-de-lys and (probably) a wheat sheaf. The pins are offered for sale in the antique case that they came to me in, which could be slightly later in date than the pins themselves.

The tallest pin (the wheat shelf) measures 5cms length and the three stickpins weigh 1.5g (combined, excluding the case).

These pins are over 200 years old and are in good condition for their age, showing light signs of age / general wear. There are no missing cut steel pieces. The pins themselves are lightly tarnished / discoloured in some areas. The crescent moon moves back and forth a little on the pin (possibly by design). The case is in fair / good condition, showing light signs of general wear and use. The case opens easily and closes securely with a click.
