This beautiful and striking antique necklace dates from the Art Deco era and is made of hallmarked 9ct gold. The necklace is set with two very sparkly paste stones which are the colour of aquamarine / blue topaz and have been cut and facetted to reflect the light beautifully. The gold has a lovely mellow tone and is between rose gold and yellow gold in colour.
The necklace has a length around the neck of 16” and the pendant section (including both stones) measures 3.9cms drop.
The necklace weighs 2.7g
The clasp is stamped ‘9ct’ for 9ct gold; the chain is integral to the necklace and the stone mounts, neck chain and baton section all test as 9ct gold.
This necklace is around 100 years old and is in lovely condition for its age, showing just very light signs of age / general wear. The two blue paste stones are both in very good condition with nice, crisp facets. The clasp is in secure working order.
