This beautiful and stunning antique pendant dates from around 1920. The pendant is made of natural, facetted amethyst and catches the light beautifully as it moves around. The amethyst is a vibrant mid purple shade and has naturally occurring pattern / variation within the stone (‘nature’s fingerprints’). The suspension bale and ring are made of hallmarked 9ct yellow gold.

The amethyst itself, excluding the gold fittings, measures 2.9cms height x 1.9cms maximum width.

The pendant weighs 8.8g

The integral suspension bale is stamped ‘9CT’ for 9ct gold (the fittings also test as solid 9ct yellow gold).

This antique pendant is around 100 years old and is in very good condition for its age, showing just the lightest signs of age / general wear in the form of a couple of minute and insignificant fleabite nibbles. The facets are nice and crisp and the fittings are secure (the top suspension bale is fully closed).
