This stylish antique pendant dates from around 1920 and is made of natural nephrite jade, mounted in hallmarked 9ct rose gold. The jade has attractive naturally occurring colour and pattern variation with in the stone (particularly when the light travels through it) and the gold mount has pretty hand engraved decoration. The suspension ring tests as 9ct yellow gold.
The pendant measures 4.9cms height (including the integral bale but not the suspension ring) and it weighs 4.6g
The top of the gold mount is stamped ‘9CT’ (for 9ct gold) on one side. The suspension ring tests as 9ct yellow gold.
This antique pendant is around 100 years old and is in very good condition for its age, with no chips or damage and showing just light signs of age / general wear. The top suspension ring is not soldered closed.
