This beautiful vintage solitaire ring is made of fully hallmarked 9ct yellow gold and dates from 1992. The ring is set with a vibrant, natural, marquise cut amethyst in a pretty mid / dark purple shade. This ring is offered for sale in very good condition.
The ring is a UK size K ½ - L / US size 5.5
The amethyst itself, excluding the gold mount, measures 1.4cms x 7mm
The inside of the ring shank is stamped ‘9’ and ‘375’ for 9ct gold. There are also hallmarks showing that the ring was made in Birmingham in 1992, along with a maker’s mark of ‘W&G’
This vintage ring is 34 years old and is in very good condition for its age, with no damage and showing just the very lightest signs of age / general wear. The amethyst itself is in excellent condition with no chips, scratches or wear and with nice, crisp facets. Any ‘marks’ that can be seen on the amethyst in the photos are naturally occurring patterns or ‘nature’s fingerprints’ within the stone and not surface damage.
