




















Substantial Antique Victorian (1889) 9ct Rose Gold, Bloodstone & Carnelian Spinner Fob / Pendant
This good size antique spinner fob / pendant is made of fully hallmarked 9ct rose gold and dates from 1889. The spinner is set on one side with an oval carnelian plaque and with an oval bloodstone plaque on the other. The decorative mount has an integral bale and is ready to be fitted to a chain (not supplied). This item shows signs of wear and use and is priced to reflect this - please read the bottom paragraph for full condition details.
The fob has a total height (including the integral bale) of 3.9cms and it weighs 6.8g
Each stone plaque measures 1.9cms x 1.5cms
The base of the spinner mount is stamped ‘9’ and ‘375’ for 9ct gold, along with hallmarks showing that it was made in Chester in 1889, together with a maker’s mark.
This antique spinner is 136 years old and is in fairly good condition for its age, showing signs of wear and use. The carnelian and bloodstone plaques are in very good condition showing just very light signs of age / wear and with no chips other than a tiny fleabite sized nibble to the edge of the bloodstone. The gold stone mount is in good condition with just one small, light, dent. The decorative top frame shows signs of age, wear and repair: one side has a plain replacement section and the other has two spot repaired areas. The item is fully wearable and functions as it should: the spinner spins freely within the mount. Please see all photos.
