This sweet, elegant, small size bar brooch dates from the Edwardian era and is made of 9ct yellow gold. The brooch is centrally set with a cabochon cut, natural opal. The opal has plenty of fire and life and shows a vibrant bluey green overall colour when set against a dark background.
The brooch bar measures 3cms width and the opal measures 4.5mm diameter (including the gold mount).
The brooch is stamped ‘9c’ (for 9ct gold) on the clasp.
