These tiny, elegant, vintage stud earrings are made of fully hallmarked 9ct gold and date from 1980. Each earring is set with a genuine diamond and the posts are fitted with secure 9ct butterfly backs. The diamonds are set in 9ct white gold and the rest of the earrings (and the butterfly backs) are 9ct yellow gold.
Each earring front (i.e. the diamond including the gold mount) measures 2mm x 2mm and the earrings have a combined weight of 0.5g
Each earring post is stamped with a crown and ‘375’ for 9ct gold. There are also hallmarks showing that the earrings were made in Birmingham in 1980. The hallmarks are a little faint but can be made out under magnification. Each butterfly back is stamped ‘9CT’ for 9ct gold.
These vintage earrings are 46 years old and and show light to moderate signs of age / general wear. The butterfly backs fit securely onto the posts. The earrings have been cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner prior to sale.
