This unique antique locket pendant dates from around 1910 - 1920 and is made of 9ct yellow gold. The locket has two glazed sections, each containing a different hand painted / hand drawn portrait. I’m unsure if the portraits are watercolours or pencil drawings but they both show lovely detail and the woman is possibly wearing the pendant itself in her portrait. Please note that these portraits cannot be removed (the locket cannot be opened).
The central circular part of the locket measures 3cms diameter and the locket weighs 7.0g
The edge of the locket frame bears a ‘9CT’ stamp (the stamp is not very clear but the locket has also been professionally tested and is made of 9ct yellow gold).
This antique locket is over 100 years old and is in good condition for its age, showing some light signs of age / general wear. The portrait of the woman is watermarked to the left hand side. The top suspension ring has not been tested for gold content and has not been soldered closed.
