Unique Antique Edwardian Silver Locket Pendant With Silk Painting Inside
This unique antique locket pendant dates from around 1910 - 1920 and is made of silver with a glazed locket compartment. The locket has a hand painted on silk image of a heron; the image is slightly different on each side. This painting could be removed and replaced with photos by undoing the top suspension bale and releasing the frame / glass covers. A chain could be threaded through the existing top bale, or another suspension ring could be added to allow a thicker chain.
The locket measures 3.3cms diameter and it weighs 5.0g
