








Unique Antique Victorian (1898) 9ct Gold Lucky Bean Charm / Pendant
This unique antique lucky bean charm / pendant dates from the late Victorian era and bears an inscription for 1898. One half of the bean is engraved ‘C.C.T.R’ and the other side is engraved ‘22-7-98’. The gold has a lovely rich tone and is somewhere between yellow gold and rose gold in colour.
The bean measures 1.6cms height (excluding the top suspension ring) and it weighs 1.2g (it’s hollow).
As is sometimes the case with jewellery of this age and type there are no hallmarks, but the bean has been professionally tested and is made of 9ct gold.
This antique charm is over 125 years old and has been worn and loved; it shows light general wear and one side has a couple of tiny pinprick type dents. The top 9ct gold suspension ring has not been soldered closed.
