Unusual Antique Art Deco Era Abstract Agate Pendant With 9ct Rose Gold Fittings
This unusual and attractive antique pendant dates from around 1920 - 1930 and is made of natural banded green agate. The agate shows lovely colour variation, particularly when the pendant is held up to the light; some parts are semi-transparent and some are opaque.
The pendant measures approximately 2.4cms x 1.2cms (maximum dimensions) and it weighs 5.6g
As is sometimes the case with jewellery of this age and type there are no hallmarks, but the fittings have been professionally tested and are made of 9ct rose gold.
This antique pendant is in very good condition for its age, showing just light signs of age / general wear. On close inspection it can be seen that there is a small area of light, superficial, discolouration on the reverse of the bale.
