This very unusual and substantial antique seal dates from the late Georgian or Victorian era and is gold plated. The seal would make a great pendant for a cat lover as it features a cat seated on the top of the decorative, carved seal base. The base is set with a foiled quartz in a vibrant peach colour.
The seal measures 2.9cms height (excluding the suspension ring) and the base measures 2.5cms x 2cms.

This antique seal is around 150 - 200 years old and is in good condition for its age, showing light signs of age / general wear. There is an edge chip to the paste stone, which is otherwise in very good condition. The cat’s nose is a slightly more silvery colour than the rest of the seal. The top suspension ring has not been soldered closed.
