Unusual Vintage (1993) 9ct Gold, Diamond, Emerald, Amethyst, Ruby, Sapphire & Tourmaline 'Dearest' Pendant

£135.00

This unusual and sentimental vintage necklace is made of fully hallmarked 9ct yellow gold and dates from 1993. The pendant features two hearts, with an arch of genuine gemstones above: the initial letter of each gemstone spells out the word ‘DEAREST’. The pendant is set with a diamond, emerald (x2), amethyst, ruby, sapphire and tourmaline. The pendant is set on a 9ct gold fine link chain.

The pendant measures 2.3cms height (including the integral bale) and the chain measures 17” in length.

The pendant and chain have a combined weight of 1.7g

The pendant’s bale is stamped with a crown and ‘375’ for 9ct gold. There are also hallmarks showing that the necklace was made in London in 1993. The chain’s clasp is stamped ‘9K’ for 9ct gold (the hallmark is partial but the chain has also been professionally tested and is made of 9ct yellow gold).

This vintage necklace is 32 years old and is in good condition for its age, showing just light signs of age / general wear. Under magnification it can be seen that there are a couple of small surface nibbles to the emeralds, but these are not obvious to the naked eye. The chain’s clasp is in secure working order.
