Vintage (1963) 9ct Gold Ship's Lantern Charm
This vintage ship’s lantern charm is made of fully hallmarked 9ct yellow gold and dates from 1963. This 3D charm has realistic styling detail and a cabochon cut green paste stone which reflects the light very nicely.
The charm measures 1.9cms height (excluding the top suspension ring) and it weighs 1.5g
The side of the charm is stamped ‘9’ and ‘375’ for 9ct gold, along with hallmarks showing that it was made in Birmingham in 1963. There is also a maker’s mark of ‘WHC’.
This vintage charm is 61 years old and is in good condition for its age, showing just light signs of age / general wear. Some areas of the green light backing are darker in some areas than others (as shown in the photos). The top 9ct gold suspension ring has not been soldered closed.
