This vintage anchor charm is made of fully hallmarked 9ct yellow gold and dates from 1970. The anchor is 3D and is the same design on each side (except that one side bears the hallmark).
The charm measures 1.5cms height (including the bale but excluding the top suspension ring) and it weighs 0.4g (it’s hollow).
One side of the central part of the anchor is stamped ‘9’ and ‘375’ for 9ct gold, along with hallmarks showing that it was made in Birmingham in 1970. There is also a maker’s stamp on the base of the charm.
This vintage charm is 56 years old and is in very good condition for its age, with no dents or damage and showing just light signs of age / general wear. The top suspension ring has been cut (where the charm was removed from a bracelet).
