These vintage rope chain earrings are made of fully hallmarked 9ct yellow gold and date from 1975. The earring butterfly backs are connected to the stud part of the earring via the chain section.
Each earring has a drop (from the top of the stud part to the base of the chain section) of 2.2cms and the earrings have a combined weight of 1.0g
Each earring post is stamped with a crown and ‘375’ for 9ct gold. There are also hallmarks showing that the earrings were made in London in 1975.
These vintage earrings are 50 years old and are very good condition for their age, with no damage and showing just light signs of age / general wear. The earrings have been cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner prior to sale.
