Vintage (1988) 9ct Gold Multi Gem Set Acrostic 'DEAREST' Ring
This colourful, stylish and sentimental vintage ring is made of fully hallmarked 9ct yellow gold and dates from 1988. The ring is an acrostic ring: the initial letters of each gemstone spell out the word ‘Dearest’. The ring is set with a CZ (representing diamond), emerald, amethyst, ruby, emerald, sapphire and tourmaline. The gemstones are genuine / natural apart from the CZ.
The ring is a UK size P and a half / between a US size 7.5 - 8
The ring has a height when on the finger of 1.6cms and it weighs 2.1g
The inside of the ring shank is stamped with a crown and ‘375’ for 9ct gold. There are also hallmarks showing that the ring was made in London in 1988, along with a maker’s mark.
This vintage ring is 37 years old and is in good condition for its age, showing just light signs of age / general wear. Under magnification it can be seen that there is a little surface wear to the emeralds but this is not visible to the naked eye. The other gemstones are in very good condition.
