This striking vintage solitaire ring is made of fully hallmarked 9ct yellow gold and dates from 1988. The ring is set with a genuine, oval fire opal in a vibrant orange shade.
The ring is a UK size N / US size 6.5
The fire opal (including the gold mount) measures 9mm x 7mm and the ring weighs 2.3g
The inside of the ring shank is stamped with a crown and ‘375’ for 9ct gold. There are also hallmarks showing that the ring was made in Birmingham in 1988, along with a maker’s mark.
This vintage ring is 38 years old and is in lovely condition for its age, with no damage and showing just the lightest signs of age / general wear. The fire opal is in lovely condition with no chips or scratches and with nice, crisp facets.
