This pretty, vintage, heart locket pendant is made of fully hallmarked 9ct yellow gold and dates from 1990. The front of the locket has an engraved design on one half (the other half could be left plain or engraved with initials). The reverse of the locket is plain (apart from the hallmark). Unusually, the locket opens at the bottom and inside retains its original red felt liners. The locket is offered for sale in very good condition; it opens easily and closes securely with a click.
The locket pendant measures 1.7cms height (including the integral bale but excluding the top suspension ring) and the locket weighs 1.3g
The reverse of the locket is stamped with a crown and ‘375’ for 9ct gold. There are also hallmarks showing that the locket was made in Birmingham in 1990, along with a maker’s mark.
