This lovely vintage pendant necklace is made of hallmarked 9ct gold (both the pendant and chain) and dates from 1990. The heart shaped pendant is set with a total of fifteen dark blue sapphires and nine genuine diamonds; the diamonds are set in 9ct white gold and the rest of the pendant and chain are made of 9ct yellow gold. The curb link chain is a good thickness and weighs 2.2g (excluding the pendant).
The heart pendant measures 1.3cms height excluding the bale (1.9cms including the bale) and the chain is 18” in length.
The chain on its own weighs 2.2g, the pendant and chain combined weigh 3.5g
The reverse of the pendant’s bale is stamped ‘375’ for 9ct gold, along with hallmarks showing that it was made in 1990 and there is also a maker’s mark. The chain’s clasp is stamped ‘375’, the end chain link is also stamped ‘375’ along with some other small hallmarks.
