This classic and timeless single strand necklace dates from 1994 and comprises of slightly graduated, hand knotted, cultured freshwater pearls. The necklace is set with a fully hallmarked 9ct yellow gold clasp which is also set with cultured freshwater pearls, arranged in a flower design.
The necklace measures 17” in length and it weighs 35.1g
The largest (central) pearl measures 8mm diameter. The clasp measures 1.2cms diameter.
The reverse of the clasp is stamped with a crown and ‘375’ for 9ct gold. There are also hallmarks showing that it was made in Birmingham in 1994.
This vintage necklace is 32 years old and is in very good original condition showing just light signs of age / general wear. The pearls naturally vary a little in shape, size, shade, lustre and surface finish. The stringing is in good condition with no discolouration and the clasp is in secure working order.
