Vintage 9ct Gold 3D Shell Charm
This pleasing vintage charm is made of hallmarked 9ct yellow gold and is in the 3D form of a shell. The charm dates from the 1960s / 1970s.
The charm measures 1.4cms width (from the pointed end of the shell to the back end) and it weighs 0.7g (it’s hollow).
The side of the shell is stamped ‘9’ and ‘375’ for 9ct gold, and there is a maker’s mark of ‘FM’. The original date mark is no longer clear.
This vintage charm is in good condition for its age, showing just light signs of age and general wear. On close inspection it can be seen that there is a very fine, hairline gap in the join on one of the edges but this does not stand out to the naked eye. The suspension ring has not been soldered closed.
