This vintage locket pendant is made of 9ct yellow gold, with a heart shaped mother of pearl panel to the front. The locket opens to reveal two heart shaped compartments, both of which retain their original backing paper, inner securing ring and Perspex type protective cover. The locket is fitted with a fully closed 9ct yellow gold bale and is ready to hang on a chain (not supplied).
This locket is of the 9ct gold ‘back and front’ variety, which means that the front and back of the locket is made of solid 9ct gold and the inner rings and frame are made of a gold coloured metal (which improves the locket’s strength and durability).
The locket measures 2.1cms height (excluding the top suspension ring) and it weighs 3.4g
The reverse of the locket is stamped ‘9CT BK & FT’ (see above for detail)
