Vintage 9ct Gold, Diamond, Emerald, Amethyst, Ruby, Sapphire and Tourmaline 'DEAREST' Acrostic Ring
This sentimental acrostic ‘DEAREST’ ring is made of hallmarked 9ct yellow gold. The ring front is set with a diamond, emerald, amethyst, ruby, emerald, sapphire and (green) tourmaline, the initial letters of each gemstone spelling out the word ‘DEAREST’.
The ring is a UK size N / US size 6.5
The ring front has a height of approximately 3mm and the ring weighs 1.9g.
The inside of the ring shank is stamped ‘375’ for 9ct gold, along with a London stamp and a maker’s mark of ‘CG’. There is a date mark but the hallmark is deep set and I can’t quite make it out.
This wearable ring is in good condition for its age, showing some light signs of age and general wear. Under magnification it can be seen that there is light surface wear to four of the gemstones, but this is not obvious to the naked eye when the ring is on the finger.
