Vintage 9ct Rose Gold Heart Locket Pendant
This attractive vintage heart locket pendant is made of 9ct rose gold ‘back and front’ and is in the form of an opening heart. The front features attractive engraving detail and the locket opens to reveal two inner compartments which can hold photos. The inside compartments retains both their original inner securing rings and backing card.
The locket is of the 9ct gold ‘back and front’ variety, which means that the front and back panels of the locket are made of 9ct gold and the inner securing rings and frame are made of a gold coloured metal (which improves the locket’s strength and durability).
The locket measures 2.2cms height (including the bale but excluding the top suspension ring).
The reverse of the locket is stamped ‘9CT B&F’ for 9ct gold ‘back and front’ (see above for detail).
This vintage locket is in very good condition for its age, with no dents or damage and showing just light signs of age / general wear. The locket opens easily and pushes securely closed. There were probably originally some perspex type covers to the inside compartments (not now present). The top suspension ring has not been soldered closed.
