This vintage silver heart locket pendant features pretty engraving decoration on one half of the front, with a blank area below that could be engraved with initials (or left as is). The locket opens to reveal two inner compartments which are designed to hold photos or a lock of hair. The inside of the locket is empty apart from an inner securing ring on one half. This locket is offered for sale in very good condition.
The locket is of the silver ‘back and front’ variety, which means that the front and back panels of the locket are made of solid silver and the inner securing ring and frame are made of a silver coloured metal (which improves the locket’s strength and durability).
The locket measures 2cms height (excluding the top bale and suspension ring) and it weighs 2.7g
The reverse of the locket is stamped ‘SILVER B&F’ for silver ‘back and front’ (see above for detail).
This vintage locket is in very good condition for its age, with no dents or damage and showing just very light signs of age / general wear. The locket opens easily and closes securely with a click. The top suspension ring has not been soldered closed.
