Huge, Stunning, Vintage Silver Gilt Smoky Quartz Pendant / Brooch
This amazing, huge, vintage pendant / brooch is made of hallmarked gilded silver. There are fittings for a brooch, a pendant and also fittings that would enable the jewel to be worn on a ribbon as a choker. The pendant bale tucks neatly away when the jewel is worn as a brooch and when it is worn as a pendant or choker, the brooch fitting is not obvious.
The smoky quartz itself measures 3.9cms x 2.9cms (excluding the mount) and the jewel weighs 25.7g
The underside of the bale is stamped 'SILVER'
This vintage jewel dates from the 1960s or 1970s and is in very good condition for its age, showing just light signs of age / general wear. The smoky quartz is in lovely condition aside from one small slither chip to one edge / the underside of the quartz. Apart from this, the quartz has no chips, scratches or wear. The rollover brooch fitting is in secure working order.
